Simple to prepare, this economical family meal will be a favourite.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken pieces
- salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- 65 ml (¼ cup) brown sugar
- 1 x 240 g cup Rhodes Quality Tomato Puree
- 65 ml (¼ cup) water
- 1 packet brown onion soup
- 1 x 410 g can Rhodes Quality Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce
Method
- Place the chicken pieces into an oven-proof casserole dish and season.
- Place the brown sugar, Rhodes Quality Tomato Puree, water and onion soup powder into a bowl.
- Whisk well until blended.
- Add the Rhodes Quality Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce and stir well.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and cover the casserole with tin foil.
- Bake in an oven that has been preheated to 180°C and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and stir.
- Bake uncovered for a further 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot.
