Need a dessert that cooks itself while you take care of other things? This slow cooker pudding is no-fail and delicious.
Ingredients
- 8 ready-made waffles
- 2 x 410 g can Rhodes Quality Peach Slices, drained
- 150 g (½ cup) dark chocolate chips
- 3 eggs
- 500 ml (2 cups) cream
- 65 ml (4 Tbsp) brown sugar
- 125 ml (½ cup) sour cream
- 2.5 ml (½ tsp) ground cinnamon
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla essence
- To serve: ice cream or whipped cream
Method
- Spray the bowl of a slow cooker with non-stick spray.
- Cut the waffles into large pieces and place at the bottom of the bowl.
- Place the Rhodes Quality Peach Slices in a layer over the waffles.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the peaches.
- Whisk together the eggs, cream, sugar, sour cream, cinnamon and vanilla essence.
- Pour the custard over the waffles.
- Cook the pudding on high for 1.5 hrs on high or until the custard has set.
- Serve warm with ice cream of lightly whipped cream.
