Old school ham sandwiches with chakalaka
Ingredients
- 1 x 410 g can Rhodes Quality Mild & Spicy Chakalaka
- 8 slices bread
- Soft butter for spreading
- 8 slices ham
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
Method
- Spoon the Rhodes Quality Mild and Spicy Chakalaka into a sieve placed over a bowl.
- Drain, stirring occasionally until most of the sauce has dripped into the bowl.
- Placed the chakalaka into a bowl.
- Butter the bread slices.
- Top 4 slices of bread with 2 slices of ham.
- Add sliced tomato.
- Spoon on the chakalaka and close the sandwiches with the remaining slices.

Cooking Tip
Stir the drained chakalaka sauce into dressings or mayonnaise.
Serve with Rhodes Quality Jam and Cheese sticks and chopped fruit
